I called the police on a large camper van that parked on the street in front of my tent. Kenny had told them to turn off their loud generator and they complied. He also told them that they were not allowed to park at the charter parking area and they were parked the wrong way on the street. They didn't move and stayed inside. As it got later I realized they had their motor idling and that it would be on all night so they could have their AC on. With the noise and the fumes wafting into our camp I decided to call the police and let them handle it. Kenny didn't need to have a confrontation and I was not comfortable knocking on their door. As I get older I am more protective of my sleep. I won't suffer fools and try to be nice. The police had them moved in 10 minutes and all was quiet. Don't be afraid to make things work as they should for everyones sanity. The fumes wouldn't have killed us but riding the next day with poor sleep and possible headaches could actually be dangerous.
